Rose Pedal Harp 

​Michelle is an active solo harpist, composer and arranger, singer/songwriter, orchestral harpist, and private harp teacher.​ She has left her mark throughout the United States, performing in locations such as Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, California, Philadelphia, and Hawaii.  ​​​​

​Michelle holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Harp Performance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she studied with Mary Bircher and Kathleen Wychulis.  

While in school, Michelle was the Principal Harpist with the Kearney Symphony Orchestra (2009-2013) and was an active freelance performer in the Midwestern Region of the United States, subbing for numerous orchestras, being featured on local TV stations, performing with the 'Omaha Harp Circle' harp ensemble, conducting a private harp teaching studio, and having an active solo harp career.

Michelle received numerous awards during her studies at University. She is a 2-time winner of the University of Nebraska at Kearney Concerto Competition for performing Debussy's "Danse Sacree et Profane" in 2012 and Mozart's "Concerto for Flute and Harp" with flutist Julie Gates in 2013.  She also was selected to perform on the UNK Honors Recital for 3 consecutive years. In addition, she is an active supporter and performer of new music from composers around the world.

In 2012, Michelle conducted an independent study titled 'Harp Performance and Presentation for Children', under the mentorship of Dr. Janette Harriott.  Michelle designed a program and concert for children ranging in age from early elementary to high school, with the intent to reach out and give children of different age groups an educational experience filled with beautiful music and facts about the harp.  Michelle performed and lectured at

schools across Nebraska.

Upon graduation, Michelle has lived in several states across the USA, establishing herself as an active performer and private harp teacher in each location.

Michelle has performed with the Hawaii Pacific University Symphony, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, Florida's Belle Voci Choir, Panama City Pops Orchestra, Pensacola Civic Band, Pensacola State College Band, Pensacola Little Theater, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Mobile Youth Orchestra, University of South Alabama Symphony, Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, Hastings Symphony Orchestra, Kearney Symphony Orchestra, UNK Honor's Choir, UNK Women's Choir, University of Nebraska Lincoln Wind Ensemble, as well as with several chamber groups.

Michelle currently resides on Oahu, HI.  She is available to play for events of all kinds!
